Method

The failure this exists to prevent has a name.

SHX writes it down plainly: pre-production validation is there because of "perfect sample, inconsistent bulk order." Everything below is quoted from their own factory and quality pages.

    Concept translation

    Convert sketches, references, or samples into manufacturable designs. Evaluate feasibility based on material behavior and tooling limitations. Recommend structural adjustments to improve durability and assembly.

    Design and engineering

    CAD modeling for strap structure, link systems, and connection points. Tolerance control for mass production consistency. Functional simulation for stress, flexibility, and wear.
  3. 03

    Material selection and testing

    Match materials to use-case: silicone, FKM, leather, stainless steel, TPU. Evaluate skin contact performance, flexibility, and environmental resistance. Recommend cost-performance balance based on target market.

    Rapid prototyping

    Sample development within controlled timelines. Multiple iterations based on real feedback. Adjustment of structure, finishing, and assembly details.
  5. 05

    Tooling and process development

    Mold design for silicone and TPU straps. CNC machining and stamping for metal components. Stitching and edge-finishing systems for leather. Each product type requires a different manufacturing logic. We align tooling with product positioning, not just production speed.

    Pre-production validation

    Structural integrity under repeated movement. Surface durability (coating, brushing, polishing). Assembly consistency across batches.

IQC
Incoming Quality Control. Inspection of raw materials before production.
IPQC
In-Process Quality Control. Monitoring production parameters during manufacturing.

Final Quality Control. Inspection of completed products before packaging.

Under an ISO 9001 certified quality management framework, which SHX says lets them standardise procedures, control consistency, improve traceability, reduce non-conforming product and keep improving the process.

Compliance, with their own caveat kept

Certification availability may vary depending on product materials and destination market requirements. Copies of relevant reports can be provided upon request.

That qualifier is SHX’s own and is kept here deliberately. A list of certificate names without it would say more than the factory does.

And two things they say that most suppliers would not

As a supplier primarily serving brands, we advise against associating our products with any specific luxury brand during sales to avoid infringement.

The second is the founding year. Their About page and quality page both say 2012. Their FAQ says the company was established in 2008. This site uses 2012, because two of the three sources say so, and prints the discrepancy here rather than hiding it.
